What to expect
Start with what the vehicle is doing.
Clear repair communication begins with the symptoms you notice, not with asking you to diagnose the vehicle yourself.
When you contact EXA, share the vehicle year, make, and model; what changed; when it happens; and whether a warning light is on. A noise during braking, a vibration at road speed, a new smell, a leak, or a change in how the vehicle starts or drives can all give the shop a practical place to begin.
After the relevant systems are evaluated, the written estimate gives you a specific proposal to review. Photos help connect identified problems to the recommendation, and you can ask questions before deciding what moves forward. If another concern is found, it should be explained separately rather than added without your approval.
